The nightcap game on June 15th featured the Orioles and the White Sox in a much anticipated contest. As each of these teams looked to finish off solid years, this one came down to the last inning. White Sox pitcher Leith McKinney struggled early in the contest but regained his composure to pick up the win. McKinney tossed a complete game while scattering three hits and striking out seven. The White Sox were led at the plate by McKinney and Layton Cripps. McKinney had trio of singles while Cripps added a pair of singles and a double. The two also combined to drive in five of their ten runs. The duo was followed by Devin Goodwin, Koby Watts, Bill Washer, and James Thomas Fisher who each had one hit. They finished the season 3-8 as their final contest was rained out on Thursday. The Orioles struggled in the contest, but did manage to score early on walks and timely hits. Orioles Barrett Briggs, Nate Johnson, and Adam Brinkley each had one hit in the contest. Briggs’ being a triple to score Johnson in the first. On June 15th, the A’s and Red Sox tangled in what many expected to be a good contest. As both teams looked to finish off the season on a high note, this one came down to the last inning before the contest was decided.
A’s pitcher Dustin Mimms was phenomenal on the mound as he went six innings allowing only two runs. Mimms struck out six while allowing only six hits. He kept the Red Sox hitters off balance mixing up his breaking ball with his fastball before turning it over to Campbell Gregory who pitched a flawless seventh. The hard-throwing righty struck out two of the four batters he faced, one being with the tying run on second with two outs.
The A’s were also kept off balance as Red Sox pitcher Buster King tossed six innings in a tough luck loss situation. King allowed only three hits while striking out six.
Offensively, the A’s were led by Ethan Potts, Jacob Mimms, and Dustin Mimms who each had one hit in the contest. With the win, the A’s moved to 3-8 on the year, with one contest left in the season.
The Red Sox were led by Chris McKinley who had a pair of singles. The Red Sox second basemen was followed by teammates Buster King, Seth Bingham, and Cody Givens who each singled in the contest. The Red Sox finished the year at 5-6 as the Thursday and Friday games were cancelled due to weather.

On June 12th, the A’s and White Sox met this past Friday on a muggy evening at the local Crump Paris Park. Both teams looked to gain momentum as we headed to the final week of the season, but the A’s prevailed behind a strong offensive attack.
The A’s sent the pitching trio of Campbell Gregory, Jacob Mimms, and Mason Gregory to the mound. The trio proved to be more than enough to slow down the White Sox attack as they allowed three hits in the contest. Jacob Mimms picked up the win, as Mason Gregory came on late to lock down the contest.
Offensively, the A’s were paced by 16-year-olds Ethan Potts and Mason Gregory. Potts had a pair of singles and scored a run while Mason Gregory had a single and double to drive him in in the fourth. David Insco, Campbell Gregory, and Jon Williams rounded out the A’s offensive attack as they each had hits. Campbell Gregory’s being a double in the first.
The White Sox once again struggled at the plate. The Sox were able to manage three hits in the contest off of the trio of A’s pitchers. Koby Watts, Leith McKinney, and Bill Washer led the way for the White Sox as they each had a hit. Watts’ being a two RBI single in the first to get things started. The White Sox made a late attempt to tie it, but once again their offense could not get anything going as the game ended on a ground ball to third with bases loaded.

The nightcap game of the June 11th Smith County Senior League action featured the Orioles and the Red Sox. This game was for third place in the standings as the winner would have the tie breaker. The Orioles took advantage of the Red Sox being down a key player as they poured it on in this one.
Orioles’ pitcher Barrett Briggs tossed a complete game on 65 pitches. The crafty, 13-year-old pitcher worked around four early hits in his five innings of work. Briggs struck out three while walking only two.
The Orioles offensive attack was paced by some timely hits, however they took advantage of many Red Sox errors. Barrett Briggs led the way for the Orioles at the plate. Briggs had a pair of triples while scoring one run. The Orioles big inning came in the third when they pushed across six runs on three hits, two walks, and an error. Teammates Nate Johnson, Jim Anstis, and Kobe Jones rounded out the O’s attack as they each had a hit. Johnson’s being a triple in the third.
The Red Sox offense was stunned by Briggs. The Sox were lucky to manage four hits in the contest. Joey Parliment paced the Red Sox with two hits, a single and a triple. Chris McKinley and Buster King rounded out the attack for the Sox as each of them had a hit.

On June 11th, the Twins and Yankees met in the evening in contest of local Smith County Senior League action. With a win in this one, the Twins would be just one win away from claiming the 2015 Smith County Senior League Championship.
With that said, they sent their 15-year-old righty Jase Holder to the mound. Holder went 5-1/3 innings allowing three hits, four runs, while striking out seven. Holder turned it over to closer Ethan Hackett in the sixth, who shut the door on the Yankees late come back. Hackett got a strikeout and a groundball to end the contest.
The Twins offensive attack was led by Jase Holder with two hits. Holder had a pair of singles and a pair of walks in the contest. He also scored a run and drove in two on the evening. Holder was followed by Dylan Hackett, Ethan Hackett, Cody Bryant, Grant Winfree, Mitchell Kirby, and John Brennan Hughes who each added to the Twins offensive attack. That group accounted for seven runs in the contest with Dylan Hackett having three of those.
Draven Wilkerson led the way for the Yankees as he had had two singles in the contest. Wilkerson was followed by Britt Dillard, Connor Warren, and Levi Halliburton who each had a hit. Halliburton had the team’s lone extra base hit in the contest which was a triple in the second inning. Wilkerson and Dillard accounted for three of the team’s four runs.

On June 10th, the Rangers and Yankees met in the early evening contest this past Wednesday at the local Crump Paris Park. The Yankees kept this one close, but the Rangers found a way to capitalize on mistakes late to win this one.
Rangers starting pitcher Hunter Mann battled through adversity early, but pitched well enough to keep this one close. Mann turned the game over to reliever Matthew Enoch in the 4th with one out. Enoch threw a solid 1-2/3 innings to pick up the win as the Rangers retook the lead in the fifth. He allowed two hits, but battled back to strike out three in his relief appearance.
The Rangers offensive attack was led by Zeke Gibbs. Gibbs led the way with a single, a double, and a triple in the contest. He was followed by Eli Martin who had a pair of singles and scored a run. Gibbs and Martin were followed by Matthew Enoch, Hunter Mann, and Andrew Vaden who each had one hit to round out the Rangers’ attack.
The Yankees had five hits in the contest. Draven Wilkerson led the way for the Yanks as he had a pair of singles and a triple for his three hits. Fellow teammates Britt Dillard and Justin Vaden rounded out the attack for the Yankees as they each had a single.

On Wednesday night, June 10th, the Red Sox and Twins met in one many thought would be one of the best games of the year…and as the score shows it did not disappoint. The upset-minded Red Sox were ready for this one as they finally got the rematch they wanted with the undefeated Twins.
The Twins pitching trio of Mitchell Kirby, Cody Bryant, and Ethan Hackett proved to be just enough to push the Twins over the top in this one. Kirby and Bryant threw the early innings of the contest before turning it over to Ethan Hackett in the sixth. Hackett picked up the win as he tossed an inning of relief.
Red Sox starting pitcher Bobby Parliment was settled with a tough luck no decision in this one. Parliment worked six innings, allowing two runs on two hits, while striking out nine.
The Twins offensive outbreak started in the last inning as they were down 7-2. They had scored six runs on three hits, two walks, and an error. Mitchell Kirby led the way for the Twins with two hits. Kirby had the walk-off single that capped off the comeback win. He was followed by Dylan Hackett, Jase Holder, Ethan Hackett, and Cody Bryant who each had one hit.
The Red Sox outplayed the Twins on every aspect of the game except the scoreboard. They pounded out 10 hits in the contest. They were led by Joey Parliment and Jared Doran who each had two hits. Parliment had a single and double, while Doran also had a single and a double that drove Parliment in. The duo was followed by Chris McKinley, Caleb Swicegood, Bobby Parliment, Austin Murphy, Ashton Phillips, and Dustin Phillips who each had a hit in the contest.

On June 9th, the A’s and Orioles met in the nightcap game of action at the local Crumps Paris Park. Both teams looked to improve their records after suffering setbacks in their previous contests. The Orioles took advantage of timely hits and a couple of A’s miscues to pick up the win in this one.
The Orioles pitching trio of Adam Goolsby, Kolby Sloan, and Jim Anstis proved to be more than enough in this one as they shut down the A’s offensive attack. Orioles’ pitcher Adam Goolsby got the start in this one, and he worked a flawless three innings.
The Orioles were led at the plate by Adam Goolsby who had three hits. Goolsby’s offensive outbreak powered the O’s as he was followed closely by Barrett Briggs who had two hits. The rest of the Orioles offense came from Nate Johnson, Kolby Sloan, and Donte Mosley who each had one hit.
The A’s offense revolved around Campbell Gregory who led the way for his team with two hits. Gregory managed to have two of his team’s six hits. The A’s attack was rounded out by Jacob Mimms, David Insco, Jon Williams, and Jacob Davenport who each had one hit on the night for their team.

On June 9th, the Rangers and White Sox met in the early contest of Tuesday evening action in an offensive struggle. Through an offensive struggle, the game was very interesting late as both teams had chances to score, but never seemed to get the timely hit. Also, both teams pitchers threw exceptionally well in this one, but as always one team had to lose.
Rangers’ pitcher Eli Martin was nothing short of phenomenal in this one as he tossed 5-2/3 innings. The 13-year-old righty scattered three hits, while striking out ten. He turned it over to another 13-year-old, Hunter Mann who came in to nail it town working 1/3 of an inning.
The Rangers offensive attack was weak in this one, but did prove to be enough to win this contest. They were led by pitcher Eli Martin at the plate who pounded out two hits and scored two runs. Martin was followed by Shawn Carver who had a line drive single to right field.
The White Sox also struggled at the plate in this one. They were able to manage three hits, but never seemed to be able to get anything going. The Sox were led by Layton Cripps, Koby Watts, and Leith McKinney who each had one hit.

The Red Sox and Yankees met this past Tuesday night after all of Monday’s games were rained out. As the second half started, both teams looked to start it off with solid outings.
The Red Sox struck quickly and often in this one to pull away behind their starting pitcher, Bobby Parliment. They struck for four in the first and one in the second to take a 5-0 lead to the third. The Yankees cut into the lead here making it 5-1, but Parliment once again slammed the door. The Red Sox tacked on two more before heading to the fifth with a 7-1 lead. Red Sox closer Chris McKinley then came in and shut the door as the Red Sox went on to win this one 7-3.
Red Sox starting pitcher, Bobby Parliment was dominant on the mound as he worked four innings, striking out 10, while allowing only one hit. Chris McKinley came on in the fifth to shut it down for the Sox as he tossed an inning of relief giving up one hit while striking out two.
The Red Sox had five hits in the contest. Their aggressive style of play on the base paths proved good enough to win as they swiped nine bases on the night. Their offensive attack was led by Caleb Swicegood, Joey Parliment, Bobby Parliment, Austin Murphy, and Seth Bingham who each had one hit.
The Yankees mustered only one hit in the contest. Their lone hit came in the fifth inning as Draven Wilkerson singled to left field.
