Sanderson Funeral Home Twins 10
Hometown Respiratory Yankees 4
On June 11th, the Twins and Yankees met in the evening in contest of local Smith County Senior League action. With a win in this one, the Twins would be just one win away from claiming the 2015 Smith County Senior League Championship.
With that said, they sent their 15-year-old righty Jase Holder to the mound. Holder went 5-1/3 innings allowing three hits, four runs, while striking out seven. Holder turned it over to closer Ethan Hackett in the sixth, who shut the door on the Yankees late come back. Hackett got a strikeout and a groundball to end the contest.
The Twins offensive attack was led by Jase Holder with two hits. Holder had a pair of singles and a pair of walks in the contest. He also scored a run and drove in two on the evening. Holder was followed by Dylan Hackett, Ethan Hackett, Cody Bryant, Grant Winfree, Mitchell Kirby, and John Brennan Hughes who each added to the Twins offensive attack. That group accounted for seven runs in the contest with Dylan Hackett having three of those.
Draven Wilkerson led the way for the Yankees as he had had two singles in the contest. Wilkerson was followed by Britt Dillard, Connor Warren, and Levi Halliburton who each had a hit. Halliburton had the team’s lone extra base hit in the contest which was a triple in the second inning. Wilkerson and Dillard accounted for three of the team’s four runs.
