South Carthage Sav-Way Red Sox             7

On Wednesday night, June 10th, the Red Sox and Twins met in one many thought would be one of the best games of the year…and as the score shows it did not disappoint. The upset-minded Red Sox were ready for this one as they finally got the rematch they wanted with the undefeated Twins.

The Twins pitching trio of Mitchell Kirby, Cody Bryant, and Ethan Hackett proved to be just enough to push the Twins over the top in this one. Kirby and Bryant threw the early innings of the contest before turning it over to Ethan Hackett in the sixth. Hackett picked up the win as he tossed an inning of relief.

Red Sox starting pitcher Bobby Parliment was settled with a tough luck no decision in this one. Parliment worked six innings, allowing two runs on two hits, while striking out nine.

The Twins offensive outbreak started in the last inning as they were down 7-2. They had scored six runs on three hits, two walks, and an error. Mitchell Kirby led the way for the Twins with two hits. Kirby had the walk-off single that capped off the comeback win. He was followed by Dylan Hackett, Jase Holder, Ethan Hackett, and Cody Bryant who each had one hit.

The Red Sox outplayed the Twins on every aspect of the game except the scoreboard. They pounded out 10 hits in the contest. They were led by Joey Parliment and Jared Doran who each had two hits. Parliment had a single and double, while Doran also had a single and a double that drove Parliment in. The duo was followed by Chris McKinley, Caleb Swicegood, Bobby Parliment, Austin Murphy, Ashton Phillips, and Dustin Phillips who each had a hit in the contest.
