Please do yourself a favor this afternoon and spend some time outdoors! It’s incredibly rare to be blessed with such warmth like we have this December, so enjoy it while it lasts!
This Afternoon — Sunny and downright gorgeous. High: 64°. S wind at 5 mph.
We’ll have one more warm day before we finally return to normal, at least for a little bit (more on that below).
Wednesday — Increasing clouds. Late evening rain likely. Wake up: 41°, Afternoon High: 67°. S wind at 5 mph.
NAM – 6 PM:
A pair of low pressure systems, one to our north and one to our south, will pull some moisture into our area late Wednesday evening, giving us a chance for showers. It won’t be a prolific rain maker by any means, but your inflatable Christmas decorations will probably get a little bit wet.
A cold front will also move through with the rain, finally dragging our temperatures down to more seasonable levels.
Thursday — Mostly sunny. Cooler. Wake up: 48°, Afternoon high: 50°. Winds NW at 5 mph.
Even with mostly sunny skies, colder air filtering in behind the front will inhibit our temperatures from rising very much during the day. We’ll likely start out in the mid to upper 40s and possibly manage to get up to 50°. Welcome to December.
Temperatures will really take a nose dive on Friday before steadily rising back up through the weekend. Next week, we look to return to the unseasonable warmth we’ve been experiencing as of late. White Christmas chances look to be near zero. Better luck next year…
