Nice Today/Tomorrow, Thunderstorms This Weekend

April 28, 2016

Thursday, April 28, 2016 — 9:09 am

This Afternoon — Decreasing clouds. High: 84°. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Yesterday evening’s storms ended up being pretty ‘meh’, which isn’t a bad thing. Both today and tomorrow will see a break from the rain, although we can’t totally rule out a stray shower or thundershower as we go through this afternoon, but it appears unlikely. Clouds will gradually thin out today with temperatures once again rising into the mid 80s.

Temperatures will be comfortably mild this evening in the 70s, falling into the 60s by the time most games will be ending at Crump Paris. Mainly clear skies overnight will allow temperatures to fall into the mid 50s by tomorrow morning.

Friday — More sun. Wake up: 54°, High: 82°. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow will be nice. This weekend will be…not so nice.

Showers and thunderstorms appear to become increasingly likely during the day on Saturday. Afternoon and evening plans outdoors may end up having to be put off until a later date — and not Sunday, because even more showers and thunderstorms will be likely then, too.

Also regarding Sunday, SPC has mentioned the possibility of perhaps introducing a Marginal severe risk that day in a later outlook, however, conditions don’t seem to be favoring a prime severe weather setup, which is good news.

Only minor shower chances will carry into next week with temperatures backing off slightly into the mid 70s for highs, which is near average for this time of year.
