Cold Today, Warmer Temperatures Returning

January 4, 2016

Monday, January 4th, 2016 — 11:53 AM

This Afternoon — Clouds decreasing a bit late in the day. Cold. High: 36°. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

It’s just really, really cold outside today. A gusty North wind isn’t helping matters, either. Also, some flurries moving down from Kentucky have been flying across our area late this morning. They pose no concern to us, but they do serve as a friendly reminder of just how cold it is today.

Tuesday — Sunny. A bit warmer. Wake up: 20°, Afternoon high: 44°. Winds E at 5 mph.

Tomorrow will see our temperatures return to near average, but not before we start out  the day very cold in the low 20s. Kids waiting for the bus tomorrow morning as they get set to head back to school after a long Christmas break should be dressed in the thickest of coats.

Temperatures will warm up even more as we head into the latter half of the week, however, those warmer temperatures will also bring the possibility of rain, especially Thursday evening and into the day on Friday.
