
The UT Extension office in Smith County is excited to announce the 2024 Home & Farm School to be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Smith County Middle School. Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. with classes beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event is free to the public and will include a meal sponsored by Citizens Bank.
Participants of the Home & Farm School will be able to select two, 45-minute presentations in the areas of Land Management, Home Horticulture, Production Agriculture, Home & Health, and Cooking. Class options include:
Production Agriculture: Creating a Weed Management Schedule and Herd Health
Land Management: Managing your Woods for Wildlife and 10 Documents Every Landowner Needs
Home Horticulture: Landscaping Do’s & Don’ts and Small Fruits for the Backyard
Cooking: Gourmet Grazing Boards and Bread Baking 101
Home & Health: Clutter Cure All and Chair Volleyball
The UT Extension Home & Farm School promises to be a night of good food, entertainment, and learning.
While the event is free to the public, it is required that attendees call the UT Extension office to sign up by calling 615-735-2900 by January 5th in order to get an accurate meal count.
