The nightcap game of action on July 1st featured the Smith County Camo All Stars taking on the Gallatin American Legion All Stars at the beautiful Harold “Slick” Collins Memorial Field. Gallatin ceased control early and played flawless defense as they went on to win this one 28-0.

Gallatin pounded out 17 hits in this one. They scored ten runs in the first and eight more in the second to take an early 18-0 lead. They then pushed across nine more in the third to make 27-0. In the fourth this one finally ended as they pushed across one more to make it 28-0, and putting Gallatin one win away from the Area Championship.

Gallatin tossed a trio of pitchers. Clark Langley, Jaylon Wilks, and Peyton Moss were phenomenal on the mound through their four innings of works. They combined for 11 strikeouts while allowing only one hit. Clark Langley picked up the win working 2-2/3 innings of work.

Chase Runyan led the Gallatin offense at the plate with four hits. AJ Davis was hot on his heels as he managed three hits in the contest. Jake Thompson and Theron Lee followed closely behind them with two hits each. Lawson Tea, Peyton Moss, Jaryn Nevil, Trevor Choate, Jaylon Wilks, and Brandon Griffin rounded out the Gallatin attack with one hit each.

Smith County Camo struggled at the plate the entire tournament. They managed one hit in the contest and were led by Tyler Testa who had one hit.
