The nightcap game of the June 16th Tuesday night action featured the A’s and the Yankees who each looked to finish the season with a win. The Yankees were down a couple of players, and the A’s looked to complete their season on a winning streak.

The A’s 16-year-old pitching trio of Ethan Potts, Jacob Mimms, and Mason Gregory went to the mound on a mission as they looked to finish their rec league careers with a win. The trio was remarkable on the mound. The trio worked five innings while scattering three hits. They also combined to strike out seven Yanks.

The A’s offensive attack was led by multiple players. David Insco, Jacob Mimms, Mason Gregory, and Jacob Davenport each pounded out a pair of singles in the contest. Ethan Potts, Steve Insco, and Austin Hughes each pounded out a single to round out the A’s offense. The A’s finished the season at 4-8, finishing 5th.

The Yankees were led by Draven Wilkerson, Connor Warren, and Matthew Battles who each had one hit. Each of the young men had a single. The Yankees finished the season at 2-9.
