Puerto Rico $33B Debt Forgiveness

April 19, 2016

SIXTH DISTRICT, TENN. (APRIL 2016)- With Americans struggling economically, we once again see Congress working to place more debt on the backs of hard working Americans. House Speaker, Paul Ryan says Congress needs to “bring order to the chaos” in Puerto Rico and prevent U.S. taxpayers from having to eventually bail out the territory, which is facing a $70 billion debt.

“Washington has lost touch with reality. Thanks to their inability to live the virtue of spending less than you make we are nearly twenty trillion dollars in debt. While career and establishment politicians, like Diane Black, talk a good game the only thing we need to look at is how they cast their votes to see where they truly stand. Year after year she has continued to either vote for Obama’s budget or raise the debt celling, and I am tired of people going to Washington with a focus on growing their own checking accounts while punishing the American voter.” –Rep. Joe Carr, 6th District Congressional Candidate

“I call on Diane Black to stand with me and fight against placing more hardships on Americans and demand that Puerto Rico honors the debts it has incurred. I refuse to allow Americans to suffer any longer at the hands of career and establishment politicians, and that is why I am running for the 6th District Congressional seat.” -Rep. Joe Carr, 6th District Congressional Candidate.
