John Rose, a candidate for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District, offered the following statement in support of President Trump’s decision to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA. “I support President Trump’s decision to phase out DACA. We are a nation of laws, and it is about time we start enforcing them. President Trump promised to put America first, and his choice to end DACA is another example of him doing so,” Rose said. “I will continue to support the President’s vision for making America great again.”
DACA is a policy started by the Obama administration. It allows illegal immigrants who come to the United States as minors to be permitted a two-year period of deferred action from deportation.
