John Rose commends the Capitol Commission’s decision to keep our monuments in place

September 5, 2017

John Rose is seeking the Republican nomination for the 6th Congressional District.

On Friday, the state Capitol Commission voted to keep the statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest in its place at the state capitol.

John Rose, a candidate for Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District, issued the following statement on the Capitol Commission’s decision. “I commend the Capitol Commission’s decision to keep our monuments in place, and their refusal to cave to left wing extremists. We can’t remove our monuments without erasing our history. We must show courage, like the Commission did today, in defending our heritage, and we must not succumb to political correctness.”

Rose is running for Congress to bring his conservative principles to Washington. He will put Tennesseans first, and have President Trump’s back while continuing the fight against Washington liberals and elites.
