Rev. Robert L. Ponder, age 75, of Turkey Creek, died Saturday evening, August 3, 2019, at his home.
He is survived by: wife, Shirley Ponder; children, Timothy Ponder and wife Sharon of Greenwood, IN, Todd Ponder of Cincinnati, OH, Tamara Ponder and fiance’ Greg Tidwell of Sunman, IN, Troy Ponder of Carthage; sister, Betty Walters and husband Homer of Florence, KY; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Ponder is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral home where his service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, August 10, at 3:00 PM. Eld. Anthony Dixon will officiate. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are: Timothy Ponder, Todd Ponder, Troy Ponder, Greg Tidwell, Andrew Ponder, Ryan Ponder, Austin Ponder, Johnny Berkemeyer.
Visitation will be on Saturday only from 1:30 PM until service time at 3:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the North Carthage Baptist Church.
