Ms. Ruby Nell Parkerson

Ms. Ruby Nell Parkerson, age 92 of Alexandria, TN passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026. TN.

Ms. Parkerson was born May 10, 1934 in Dekalb County, TN the daughter of the late Oliver Lige Parkerson and Movie Malone. She was also preceded in death by eight Siblings; Toy Parkerson, Elbert Parkerson, Jim D. Parkerson, M.B. Parkerson, Dillard Parkerson, Isabell Stephens, Bessie Fitts and Sallie Frances Parkerson.

She was saved at an early age and was a life long member of Malone’s Chapel (Walker’s Creek) Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Work Ware in Alexandria, TN after fourty years of service.

Ms. Parkerson is survived by a Brother; John (Ruth) Reynolds of Alexandria, TN: nieces and nephew, Faye Neville, Shirley Bennett, Lynn (Johnny) Adcock who were by her side when she passed away, and Sue House, Mary Lou Clark and Randy Parkerson; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Parkerson are scheduled to be conducted Friday, June 19, 2026 at 3 PM at Avant Funeral Home with Bro Jack Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation with the Parkerson family will be at Avant Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 PM to 8 PM and on Friday after 12 Noon.
