Ms. Amanda Russell Jackson age 35 of South Carthage was pronounced deceased at the Highpoint Health-Riverview E. R. in Carthage at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday afternoon after being found unresponsive at her father’s Davis Street South home. She was 39.
Ms. Jackson is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where a visitation will be Friday May 17th from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. closing with a prayer. A private service for the family only will be in Section three in the Russell family lot at the Ridgewood Cemetery.
She was one of three children, a daughter and three sons, of John Edward (Johnny) Russell of South Carthage and the late Lee Ann Agee Russell who died at the age of 41 on April 3, 2004 and was born Amanda Lee Russell in Augusta in Richmond, Georgia on December 1, 1984.
Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by an infant son, Logan Gage Russell and by a brother, John Edward Russell II who died on November 19, 2022 at the age of 35.
Ms. Jackson, a homemaker, was a recipient of her General Education Degree.
Her family attended the Carthage Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving in addition to her father, Johnny, are her two brothers, Joseph Russell and wife Ashley of Carthage, James Davis Russell and wife Cassie of the Walkers Creek Community in Dekalb County.
