Mrs. Vivian Bowman Petty, age 76, of Carthage, died Monday morning, May 20, 2019, at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by: 4 children, Eugene Petty of Tanglewood, Jerry Petty and wife Gail of Gordonsville, Scotty Petty and wife Sherrie of Brush Creek and Holly Bush and husband Mickey of Pea Ridge; 2 brothers-in law, Roy Thrower of Carthage and Don Hill of Clarksville, GA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Petty is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted Thursday morning, May 23, at 11:00 am with Bro. Frank Bratcher officiating. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers: John Gore, Brian Hardin, John A. Bush, Jr., Jeremy Green, Wesley Clay and Paul Armistead.
The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel beginning on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.
The family has requested memorials to the Carthage First Freewill Baptist Church.
