Mrs. Thelma Thaxton

Mrs. Thelma Thaxton, age 80, of Pleasant Shade, died Monday morning, August 13, 2018, at Riverview Regional in Carthage.

She is survived by: children, Melody Thaxton and husband David of South Carthage, Phyllis Kellow and husband Michael of Westmoreland, Frances Key of Riddleton; siblings, Juanita Hunt and husband Junior of Monoville, Frances Thompson of Pleasant Shade, Bill Woodard and wife Brenda of Murfreesboro, Jesse Woodard of Pleasant Shade, Devon Duncan of Carthage; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Thaxton is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, August 15, at 1:00 PM. Bro. David Thaxton will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
