Mrs. Shirley Oliver Smith, age 81 of Pleasant Shade, died Saturday evening, April 15 at Knollwood Manor in Macon County. She is survived by: husband, Ronald Smith; daughter, Beth Stephens and husband Doug of the Blue Springs community in DeKalb County; son, John Smith and wife Lisa of Sycamore Valley; brother, Dan Oliver and wife Patricia of Pleasant Shade; 4 grandchildren, Leigh Ann Meeks and husband Richard of Coleytown, Jonathan Smith of Washington, Emilee Kay Stephens of Smithville, John William Stephens of Smithville; 2 great-grandchildren, Ryder Meeks and Eli Meeks.
Mrs. Smith is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Wednesday morning, April 19 at 11:00 AM. Eld. Dewayne Gregory will officiate. Interment in the Pleasant Shade Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Scott Oliver, Kris Oliver, Will Stephens, Richey Gregory, J. N. Rainey, Richard Meeks.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
