Mrs. Sarah Hackett Huffines, age 99 of Tanglewood and long time resident of Kempville, died Friday morning, August 5 at Riverview Regional in Carthage. She is survived by: 2 children, Fay Huffines Ray of Knoxville, Philip Huffines and wife Myrna of Tanglewood; 3 grandchildren, Philip Allen Huffines of Defeated Creek, Karen Hackett and husband Stephen of South Carthage, Mark Ray and wife Kathy of Knoxville; 2 great-grandchildren, Emmie Lynn Huffines of Defeated Creek, Brooke Nicole Taylor and husband Anthony of Cookeville.
Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home provided services be conducted on Sunday afternoon, August 7 at 3:00 PM. Bro. Jeff Burton and Eld. Jeff Patterson will officiate. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers were Jody Murray, Philip Allen Huffines, Mark Ray, Stephen Hackett, Joe Neal, Anthony Taylor.
The family has requested memorials to the Jordan Hackett Foundation or Hackett Family Cemetery.
