Mrs. Melba Ruth Bennett
Mrs. Melba Ruth Bennett, age 83, of Algood, TN, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Signature Healthcare of Putnam County.
Mrs. Melba was born June 17, 1932 in Overton County, TN, the Daughter of the late John Albert Glasscock and Celia Delpha Andrews. Mrs. Melba was preceded in death by her Husband; Otis Lee Bennett on October 4, 1981, Three Brothers; Willie Glasscock, Dewroy Neal and Jimmy Neal, and One Grandson; Marcus Looper. She was of Baptist faith.
Mrs. Melba is survived by Four Children; Patricia (Larry) Huddleston of Cookeville, TN, Lisa (Don) Looper of Cookeville, TN, Tony Bennett of Algood, TN, and Dale (Jeannie) Bennett of Sparta, TN. Sisters; Lena Booher of Cookeville, TN, and Judy Wilson of Livingston, TN. Brother; Paul (Margaret) Neal of Lebanon, TN. Grandchildren; Jason (Christie) Huddleston, Tyler Huddleston, Matthew Looper, and Tiffany Bennett. Great-Grandchildren; Riley Huddleston, Brayden Huddleston, and Mason Looper. Longtime Friend; Virginia Poston.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bennett are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 1PM with Bro. Tim Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the Bennett family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, November 8, from 4PM until 8PM and again on Monday, November 9, from 11AM until the time of the service at 1PM.
