Mrs. Mary Petty Massey
Mrs. Mary Petty Massey, age 86, of Defeated Creek, died Saturday afternoon, February 1, 2020, at Riverview Regional in Carthage.
She is survived by: daughter, Stephanie Massey Johnson and husband Steve of Tanglewood; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Johnson of Cookeville and Adam Johnson of Cookeville.
Mrs. Massey is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, February 4, at 1:00 PM. Bro. Jimmy Gregory and Bro. Tim Miles will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are: Steve Williams, Ed Massey, Dewey Wayne Lankford, Jason Martin, Mark Eller, Tim Eller.
Visitation will begin on Monday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the Peyton Creek Baptist Church or Tennessee Baptist Childrens Home.
