Mrs. Martha Brooks
Mrs. Martha Brooks, age 86, of Carthage, died Friday evening, November 24, at Concordia Health Care in Carthage. She is survived by: daughter, Sherry Albritton of Kempville; son, Eld. Rickey Brooks and wife Nancy of Tanglewood; brother, Robbie Gene Davenport of Sarasota, Florida; 5 grandchildren, April Brooks of Castalian Springs, Jason Brooks of Tanglewood, Sonya Thrower of Defeated Creek, Tara Gentry and husband Matt of Clubb Springs, Cody Albritton of Kempville; 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brooks is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Her service will be conducted at the Defeated Creek Missionary Baptist Church on Monday afternoon, November 27, at 1:00 PM. Eld. Lonnie Meador and Eld. Ronnie Harrison will officiate. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Jason Brooks, Jimmy Carter, Jeff Carter, Matt Gentry, Cody Albritton and Barry Davenport.
Visitation will be at Sanderson Funeral Home on Sunday from Noon until 6:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 until leaving for the church at Noon.
The family has requested memorials to assist with funeral expenses.
