Mrs. Majorie Murphy Holland, age 83 of the Smith Bend Community, died Friday evening, July 8 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. Mrs. Holland is survived by: 2 children, Debbie Johnson and husband Bruce of Lebanon, Craig Murphy and Tina of Haydenburg Ridge; grandchildren, Jason Murphy of Gainesboro, Justin Murphy and wife Leanne of Gainesboro, Hannah Johnson Porterfield and husband David of Lebanon, Aaron Johnson and Haden of Lebanon, Jonathan Smith of Haydenburg Ridge; 8 great-grandchildren, Taylor McCormick, Jaycee Porterfield, Ella Johnson, Gavin Murphy, Bella Murphy, Lincoln Porterfield, Eden Porterfield, Haddie Johnson.
The Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in Kempville handled her services that were conducted on Monday morning, July 11 at 11:00 AM. Edward Anderson and Larry Cole officiated. Interment followed in the Witcher Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Tim Agee, Stan Agee, Travis Agee, Wayne Burton, Gene Terry Smith, Scott Huff.
The family has requested memorials to the Witcher Cemetery Mowing Fund.
