Judy Bishop, age 69, of Lebanon TN, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 17, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
Judy Darlene Hurley Bishop was born September 3, 1956 to Minnie Lee Cornelison Hurley and John “Bud” Hurley in Steele MO. She lived there with her siblings Johnny and Vickie Hurley. She married Gary Bishop on May 10, 1975 and they had 2 children, Lynn (Cressie) and Alicia Bishop. She had 3 grandchildren Zackery (Kaylie Hickman), Aliya, and Blaine Bishop. She also had a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Judy and Gary worked together at their own upholstery business, Miller’s Upholstery, in Missouri. They moved to Tennessee in 1991 where Judy worked as a designer at Hartmann Luggage in Lebanon for several years before dedicating herself to being a caregiver for their daughter Alicia. Judy and Gary thoroughly enjoyed their yearly vacations, riding side by sides, boating, and camping. The Smoky Mountains was a favorite destination.
