Mrs. Joyce Cantrell “Heavy Duty” Kilgore, age 81, of Alexandria, TN, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Mrs. Kilgore was born July 16, 1943 in Lancaster, TN, a daughter of the late Fred Dennis Cantrell and Mary Alice Jones Cantrell. Joyce married Paul Kilgore and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2001. She was also preceded in death by Sisters; Freda Nell Beard, Frank Thomas Cantrell, and Phronia Mai Hackett.
Mrs. Kilgore was a 1961 graduate of Gordonsville High School. She was a member of the Alexandria Church of God. She worked at Bonnell Aluminum as a security guard for 38 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Kilgore is survived by Nephew; Dennis (Pam) Hackett of Carthage, TN. Niece; Carol Ann Hackett of Nashville, TN. Caregiver; Eddy Tucker of Baxter, TN. Several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Kilgore are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 2PM with Bro. Joey Jones and Bro. Chad Coppinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Gordonsville Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday from 1PM until 8PM, Saturday from 10AM until 8PM, and on Sunday from 10AM until service time at 2PM.
The family requests memorials be made to the Bennett Cemetery.
