Mrs. Joy Wright, age 94 of the Rome Community, died Sunday afternoon, July 16 at her daughter’s home. She is survived by: children, Paul Wright of Hiwassee, Janie Ellenburg of Rome, Robert Wright of Rome, Petey Glover and husband Hugh of Rome, Keith Wright and wife Jennifer of Elmwood; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; care taker and special friend, Carrie Harper.
Mrs. Wright is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral home where her service will be conducted on Wednesday morning, July 19 at 11:00 AM. Stan Stevenson and Jody Pritchett will officiate. Hudson Montgomery will present the eulogy. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Tim Wright, Bo Ellenburg, B. J. Robert Wright Jr. Jacob Wright, Adam Wright, Keaton Wright.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
