Mrs. Jewel D. Woodard, age 73 of Popes Hill, died Sunday morning, July 24 at Tri. Star Summit Medical Center. She is survived by: sons, Sammy Ronald Woodard of Portland, William “Billy” Woodard of Popes Hill, Jamie Allen Woodard of Popes Hill; brother, Roy Allen Wilkerson and wife Louann of Grant; sisters, Carolyn Naomi Strickland and Kenny Fisher of Popes Hill, Wanda Dean Woodard and husband Russell of Hiwassee; 2 grandchildren, Devon Woodard and Randon Woodard both of Portland; 2 great-grandchildren, Addie Woodard and Colton Woodard.
Mrs. Woodard is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, July 27 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Billy Smith and Bro. Michael Christian will officiate. Interment in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Carthage. Serving as pallbearers are: Randy Silcox, Jason Silcox, Russell Woodard Jr. Casey Woodard, Devon Woodard, Randon Woodard.
Visitation will be on Wednesday only from 9:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
