Mrs. Janice Fisher, age 77 of the Hiwassee Community, died Wednesday morning, May 1 at her home. She is survived by: husband, Roger Fisher; 6 children, Debbie Roden and husband Ed of Turkey Creek, Daniel Nesbitt and wife, Ebby Munn Nesbitt of Buffalo, Scott Nesbitt and wife Lisa Massey Nesbitt of Defeated Creek, Donna Hopper and husband Sheriff Steve Hopper of Riddleton, Susan Burton and husband Curtis of Hiwassee, Lee Fisher and wife Miranda of Hiwassee; sister, Vondell Dixon of Carthage; brother, Rondell Harp and wife Wanda Cowan Harp of Union Camp; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fisher is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her services will be conducted on Friday afternoon, May 3 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Scott Nesbitt and Eld. Michael Nesbitt will officiate. Interment in the Fisher Cemetery in Hiwassee with Eld. Anthony Dixon officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Josh Dixon, Allen Dixon, Jordan Dixon, Brad Nesbitt, Mikel Nesbitt, Joel Lafferty, R. J. Fisher, Jacob Guffey, Daniel Burton.
Visitation will begin on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
