Mrs. Frances Gregory Tubb
Mrs. Frances Gregory Tubb, age 91, of Hermitage, TN, and a longtime resident of Carthage, TN, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016.
Mrs. Tubb was born November 27, 1924 in Smith County, TN, the daughter of the late Lewis Gregory and Fannie Delana Satterfield Gregory. She married Billy Tone Tubb in May of 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1985. Mrs. Tubb was also preceded in death by Son; Toney Tubb on August 15, 2001 and two sisters; Ruby Hooper and Mattie Lankford. She retired from Ross Gear. Mrs. Tubb was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Carthage United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Tubb is survived by Daughter; Mary Evelyn (Mike) Allen of Gordonsville, TN, Son; Robert Ward “Rebel” Wilder of Fayetteville, AR. Daughter-in-Law; Sandra Tubb of New Middleton, TN. Grandchildren; Tyler Allen, Delana (Rick) Fisher, and Dana Wilder. Three Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Tubb are scheduled to be conducted from the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2PM with Bro. Mark Stinnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the Tubb family will be held at the Carthage Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday from 3PM until 8PM and again on Sunday after 11AM until the time of the service at 2PM.
