Mrs. Frances Butler, age 78, of South Carthage and long time resident of Rock City, died Tuesday evening, September 1, at Centennial Medical Center. She is survived by: 2 children, Wendell Butler and wife Beverly of Springfield, Jerry Butler and wife Beverly of Difficult; 2 sisters, Barbara Butler of Popes Hill, Wilma Winfree and husband Harold of Hiwassee; 2 brothers, Richard Poston of Smithville, Bobby Poston of Rome; stepson, Bobby Butler Jr. of Lebanon; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Butler is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Friday morning, September 4, at 11:00 AM. Bro. Donny Payne will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 3, at 3:00 Pm until 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 4, from 8:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
