Mrs. Evelyn Watts, age 87, of Gordonsville, died Thursday morning, October 29, at her home. She is survived by: 3 daughters, Phyllis Eckel and husband Don and Paula Hawkins and husband Bobby, both of Gordonsville, and Patty Slagle and husband Jerry of Dixon Springs; devoted brother, Jack Pettross of Carthage; Sister in Law, Julia Watts of Gordonsville; 6 grandchildren, Rodney Hawkins and wife Jennifer, Kimberly Barlow and husband Casey, Krista Denton and husband Ryan, Melissa Thompson and husband Jim, Hollie Farmer and husband Michael and Mary Alice Carfi and husband Jamie; 11 great-grandchildren; loving caregiver and special friend, Jo Sponaugle.
Mrs. Watts is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted Saturday morning, October 31, at 11:00 am with Bro. Rodney Hawkins and Bro. Ray Gilder officiating. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel beginning on Friday, October 30, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.
