Mrs. Estelene Sloan
Mrs. Estelene Sloan, age 101, of Hiwassie and long time resident of Pleasant Shade, died Wednesday morning, February 10, at Quality Care Health Care in Lebanon. She is survived by: son, Danny Sloan and wife Alice of Rome; daughter, Linda Chappelle of Miami, Florida; 2 sisters, Mildred Stanley and husband George of Goodlettsville; Goldna Clay of Carthage; 2 local grandchildren, Elizabeth Pettross and husband Lee of Hiwassie and Daniel Sloan and wife Ashlie of Hiwassie; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sloan is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, February 14 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Pleasant Shade Cemetery. Eld. Charles Allen Gentry officiating. Daniel Sloan, Edward Cambas, Tony Cambas, Patrick Cambas, Andy Kidd and John Sloan will serve as pall bearers.
Visitation will be on Sunday only from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist or Pleasant Shade Cemetery Fund or North Carthage Baptist Church.
