Mrs. Elanda Hesson Carpenter
Mrs. Elanda Hesson Carpenter, age 77, of Carthage, died Wednesday evening, October 21, at Smith County Health and Rehabilitation. She is survived by: husband, Roger Carpenter; daughter, Kimberly Pedigo and husband Mark of Buffalo Valley; sons, Shane Carpenter and wife Marilyn of South Carthage, Roger Carpenter Jr. and Rachel Wright of Riddleton and Deron Barkley and wife Anita of Knoxville; brother, Alton Hesson and wife Nancy of Waverly; grandchildren, Jessica, Bhrett, Blake, Trey, Juliana, Emma and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Eli, Addison, Bentley and Abigail.
Mrs. Carpenter is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, October 25, at 3:00 pm with Bro. B. J. Thomason officiating. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bhrett Carpenter, Blake Carpenter, Mark Pedigo, Chris Hammond, Anthony Driver and Curt Green.
The family will receive friends at the Carthage Chapel beginning on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 1:00 pm until departure to the cemetery at 2:45 pm.
The family has requested memorials to the New Middleton Baptist Church Building Fund.
