Mrs. Upshaw was born December 24, 1937 in Alexandria, LA, the daughter of the late Roy Gilbert and Loretha Peters. She married Richard Wayne Upshaw on December 17, 1952 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2014. Mrs. Upshaw was also preceded by Sister; Loretta Liberto and Brother; Robert Gilbert.
Mrs. Upshaw was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for preparing comforting southern dishes for her family and friends as well as organizing fellowship meals for both her church home at Dickerson Road Baptist Church, and her husband’s social business gatherings.
Mrs. Upshaw is survived by Three Children; Debra Allen of Crossville, TN, Vicki (Greg) Ator of Lebanon, TN, and Danny Upshaw of Carthage, TN. Three Grandchildren; Traci Hollandsworth, Amy (Kevin) Eberle, and Melissa (Jason) Steele. Three Great-Grandchildren; Parker Hollandsworth, Maryann Stelle, and Colton Steele.
Private Services will be held for the Upshaw Family.
