Mrs. Carnellia Hughes, age 87 of Kempville, died Thursday afternoon, March 23 at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette. She is survived by: son, David Hughes and wife Deanna Burgess Hughes of Kempville, daughter-in-law, Helen Andrew Hughes of Tanglewood; brother, Billy Huffines and wife Paulette of Lafayette; 4 grandchildren, Ryan Hughes and wife Jessica of Puyallup, Washington, Derek Carter of Kempville, Devin Carter and wife Cayla of Elmwood, Wesley Hughes of Knoxville; 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hughes is at the Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in Kempville where her service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, March 26 at 3:00 PM. Bro. Bryan Bratcher will officiate. Interment in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens Serving as pallbearers are: Wesley Hughes, Derek Carter, Devin Carter, Drake Carter, Draven Carter, Danny Joe Waller.
Visitation at the Hackett Chapel in Kempville will begin on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Sunday from noon until service time at 3:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the Kempville Old Time Methodist Church.
