Mrs. Billie Marie Hix, age 91 of Grant died Thursday morning, June 2 at her home. She is survived by: children, Steve Hix and wife Cindy of Grant, Cathy Jenkins and husband Wayne of Rome, Philip Hix and wife Betty of Grant, Lesa Manning and husband Terry of Gordonsville, June Scudder and husband Mike of New Middleton; 15 grandchildren, Eli Hix, Ethan Malone, Angela Lane and husband Alan, Rachel Carson and husband Greg, Amanda Wesson and husband Anthony, Sarah Jenkins, Amanda Reneer, Mary Smith and husband Josh, Danny Ray Pichette and wife Ashley, Amy Dudney and husband Travis, Kevin Manning, Beth Hackett and husband Brian, Stephanie Stinnett and husband Luke, David Scudder and wife Kelsey, Scott Scudder and wife Ashlyn; 22 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hix is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her services will be conducted on Saturday morning June 4 at 11:00 AM. Bro. B. J. Thomason will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin on Friday afternoon from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to New Middleton Baptist Church Youth Fund or Rome Baptist Church.
