Mrs. Betty Preston age 76, of Gordonsville, TN, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, June 15, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Preston was born September 24, 1938 in Red Boiling Spring, TN, the Daughter of the late Reggie Claridy and Irene Claridy. Also preceding her in death are Four Sisters; Callie Alcorn, Darlene Combs, Jo Rucker, and Louise Chapman and one Step Granddaughter; Maryann Cabrera. She married Jerry Preston on February 10, 1970. Mrs. Preston worked at Crain Manufacturing as a seamstress and was a member at the Long Branch Community Church.
Mrs. Preston is survived by her Husband; Jerry Preston, Sr. of Gordonsville, TN. Two Sons; Jeff (Alisha) Preston of Gordonsville, TN, and Jason (Megan) Preston of Gordonsville, TN. One Step-Son; Jerry (Robin) Preston, Jr. of Baxter, TN. Four Grandchildren; Hunter Preston, Elizabeth Preston, Shane Hudson, and Will Cabrera. Three Step Grandchildren; Cierra and Rhiannon Preston and Johnny Preston. Two Step Great-Grandchildren; Ava Robichaud and Kimber Nicole Preston. Brother; Ronald (Jean) Claridy of Smyrna, TN. Sister; Normal Jean Keel of Columbia, TN. Several Nieces, Nephews, and cousins also survive.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Preston will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 4PM at the Long Branch Community Church with Bro. Mark Miller officiating.
Visitation with the Preston Family will be only on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 2PM until 4PM at the Long Branch Community Church.
The Preston family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
