Mrs. Betty Marie White Apple, age 80, of Brush Creek, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Mrs. Apple was born November 13, 1943 in Grant, TN, a daughter of the late Julius Edgar White and Nellie Mai Bush White. She married Ray Apple on September 23, 1983 and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1998. She was also preceded in death by Sisters; Paulette Blackburn and Barbara Jean White and Brother; John Lee White. Mrs. Apple worked for Meritor for numerous years until her retirement. After retirement, she worked as a cook for Smith County Sheriff’s Office.
Mrs. Apple is survived by Children; Catherine “Liz” (Brad) Ledbetter and Myra (Richard) York. Stepdaughter; Renee (Billy) Davenport. Siblings; Carrin (Jerry) Garrett of Lebanon, TN, Edith Hipps of Old Hickory, TN, J.E. (Betty) White of Club Springs, TN, Dale (Beverly) White of New Middleton, TN, Judith Jones of Gallatin, TN, and Ray (Sherell) White of Brush Creek, TN. Grandchildren; Brandon Grisham, Richy York, Eric Lawrence, Jessica Ledbetter, Kyle Ledbetter, and Chelsey Davenport. Great-grandchild; Liam Endsley. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Apple are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1PM with Bro. Shane Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Memorial Gardens.
Visitation with the family will be at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Tuesday from 2PM until 7PM and on Wednesday after 11AM until service time at 1PM.
