Mrs. Betty Jo Carey
Mrs. Betty Jo Carey age 63, of Carthage, TN, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Carey was born December 8, 1952 in Putnam County, TN, the Daughter of the late; Christopher Columbus Maxwell and Carrie Mae Davis. She married Paul Carey on November 5, 1997, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by Sister; Stella Huff and Vada Spann.
Mrs. Carey is survived by Four Children; Christina (Dennis) Fry of Goldsboro, NC, Kenneth (Jennifer) Hiers of Carthage, TN, William Timothy Westerman of Florida, and Roy (Angel) Spann of Arkansas. Step-Children; Mark (Becky) Carey of Indiana, and Mat (Peggy) Carey of Texas. Siblings; James Maxwell, J.C. Maxwell, Edward Maxwell, Jo Ann Maxwell, Elaine Parker, Bonnie Harville, and Kathy Nash. Four Grandchildren; Dylan Fry, Noah Fry, Isiah Hiers, Trinity Taylor, and Brandy Spann along with Three Great-Grandchildren also survive.
Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Carey are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 5PM.
The Carey Family will receive friends on Friday from 1PM until service time at 5PM.
