Mrs. Amy Thaxton Ray, age 45 of the Sykes Community, died Saturday morning, February 4 at her parent’s home in South Carthage. She is survived by: husband, Sherman Ray; 3 children, Payton Ray of Sykes, Chris Ray and fiance’ Carrington Jenkins of Sykes, Randall Ray and fiance’ Christina Oliver of Carthage; parents, David and Melanie Thaxton of South Carthage; 2 sisters, Charity Oliver and husband Ron of Carthage, Jennifer Davis and husband Jason of Lafayette; brother, Anthony Thaxton and wife Christy of Carthage.
Mrs. Ray is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where her service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, February 7 at 3:00 PM. Pastor Tracy Symoens will officiate. A Tribute will be conducted by the Tennessee Nurses Honor Guard.
Visitation will be on Tuesday only from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM
The family has requested memorials to assist with funeral expenses.
