Mr. Willie D. Petty
Mr. Willie Doyle Petty, age 95, of Nashville, TN, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016.
Mr. Petty was born August 4, 1920 in Dixon Springs, TN, the son of the late Virty Tyree and Zollie Petty. He was also preceded in death by a Brother; Gwin Petty. He married Myrtle Dean Fuqua. Willie served his country in the United State Navy during World War II. He later retired from Nashville Electric Service. Mr. Petty was a member of the Goodlettsville Church of Christ.
Mr. Petty is survived by Wife; Myrtle Fuqua Petty of Nashville, TN. Children; Leslie (Wanda) Petty of Nashville, TN, and Patricia (David) Aldridge of Nashville, TN. Brother; Odell Petty of Watertown, TN. Two Sisters; Eleanor Myers of Carthage, TN, and Mary Parker of Nashville, TN. Grandchild; Mary Belle (Ray) Higbee. Three Great-Grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Petty’s remains rest at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home.
Graveside Services and Interment for Mr. Petty are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 1PM at the Gordonsville Cemetery with Buddy Jarrell officiating.
The Family will gather at the graveside just prior to the graveside service.
