Mr. Vergil Gochcoff Sr., age 90, of South Carthage, died Thursday morning, October 10, at Smith County Health and Rehab. He is survived by: children, Sheri Scott and husband Phil of Hendersonville, Vergil Gochcoff Jr and wife Diana of South Carthage, Barbara Davis and husband Tony of Bradenton, Florida, Michael Gochcoff of Bradenton, Florida; sister, Janet Abbaduska and husband Robert “Bob” of Jenison, Michigan;; brother, Frank Gochcoff and wife Patsy of Dandridge; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gochcoff is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, October 13 at 3:00 PM. Bro. Bobby Peoples will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be conducted in Battle Creek, Michigan at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation at Sanderson Funeral home will be on Sunday only from 12:00 Noon until service time at 3:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to the American Cancer Society or a Veterans Charity of your choice.
