Mr. Terry “Poppy” White
Mr. Terry “Poppy” White, age 70, of Stonewall died Saturday afternoon, January 16, at St. Thomas- Midtown in Nashville. He is survived by: wife, Erline White; children, Tim White and wife Lisa of Brentwood, Tina Craighead and husband Jerry of Elmwood; 4 grandchildren, Austin Jett and Brandon Jett of Brentwood, Legon Craighead of Jackson, Jamin Craighead of Elmwood and fiance’ Courtney Blair; sister, Ruth Massey and husband Harold of Stonewall; brothers, Jimmy Kerr White and wife Betty of Defeated, Eddy White and wife Linda of Kershaw, South Carolina, Garry White and wife Debra of Chestnut Mound; brother-in-law, Billy Charles Gibbs of Pea Ridge.
Mr. White is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, January 19 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Ray Gilder will officiate and Tim White will present the eulogy. Interment in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Jimmy Apple, Mark Medley, Wayne Winfree, David Haynes, Buddy Payne and Steve Armistead will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are: Adult 3 Senior Mens Sunday School Class, James Bush, Ben Hearn and Bobby Hawkins.
Visitation will begin on Monday at noon until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service at 1:00.
The family has requested memorials to Gordonsville First Baptist Food Ministries or Benevolence Fund.
