Mr. Ricky Rankin, age 73 of the Pea Ridge Community, died Wednesday morning, December 21 at TriStar Skyline in Nashville. He is survived by: wife, Debra (Shorty) Rankin; 4 brothers, Lindy Rankin of Murfreesboro, Gary Rankin and wife Sandra of Chattanoogna, Michael (Spud) Rankin and wife Mary Ann of Smithville, Tracy Rankin of Carthage; sister-in-law, Tammy Sircy and husband Jeffrey of Tanglewood; brother-in-law, Junior Nesbitt of Carthage.
Mr. Rankin is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. His service will be conducted at the Gordonsville United Methodist Church on Tuesday afternoon, December 27 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Floyd Massey and Bro. Dickie Johnson will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Daniel Sircy, Nicholas Sircy, Cody Nesbitt, John Tucker Rankin, Zeke Rankin, Chris Blair, Aaron Whitesell, Adam Reid. Honorary pallbearers, Class of 1967.
All visitation will be at the Gordonsville United Methodist Church beginning on Monday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to Gordonsville United Methodist Church or Lovies Fund at Smith County Animal Clinic.
