Mr. Ray Swicegood, age 73 of Carthage, died Friday morning, May 21 at his home. He is survived by: 2 daughters, Bobbie Davis and husband Mark of Pleasant Shade, Tracie Lynn Wright of Carthage; half brother, Roger Henson and wife Cathy of Phoenix, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Amber Shoulders and husband Josh of Pleasant Shade, Matthew Davis of Pleasant Shade, Makayla Wright and fiance’ Malachi Adams of Nashville, James Wright of Cookeville; great-grandchild, Ripp Shoulders; mother of his daughters, Linda Stillwell of Pleasant Shade.
Mr. Swicegood is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Monday afternoon, May 24 at 1:00 PM. Eld. Van Mathis, Bro. Mike Turnipseed and Eld. Rickey Hall will officiate. Interment in the Gordonsville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Dwayne Barnes, Daniel Barnes, Phillip Bryant, Ricky Albritton, Marty McPherson, Joey Crawford.
Visitation will begin on Sunday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to East Carthage Missionary Baptist Church.
