Mr. Lester “Coot” Dillehay
Mr. Lester “Coot” Dillehay, age 92, of Mount Juliet, died Saturday afternoon, August 15, at his home. He is survived by: wife, Evelyn Shrum Kittrell Dillehay; 4 children, Joan Wright of Lebanon, Kevin Dillehay of Mount Juliet, Ricky Kittrell and wife Yvonne of Lebanon, Jeff Kittrell and wife Jan of Lebanon; 7 grandchildren, Keith Wright of Lebanon, Kyle Wright and wife Mary Faye of Lebanon, Taylor Dillehay of Lebanon, Whitney McGill and husband Joe of Memphis, Michael Kittrell and wife Tammy of Mount Juliet, Jennifer Bolton and husband Dane of Mason, Ohio, Robyn Bailes of Chattanoogna; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dillehay is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Wednesday morning, August 19, at 11:00 AM. Eld. Jeff Patterson and Eld. Jerry Shrum will officiate. Interment in the Will Gregory Cemetery in the Sycamore Valley Community. Serving as pallbearers are: Keith Wright, Kyle Wright, John Muise, Michael Kittrell, Caylor Bates, Andrew Kittrell, Will Wright.
Visitation begins on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The family has requested that everyone wear a mask when entering the funeral home.
The family has requested memorials to Friendship Primitive Baptist Church or Will Gregory Cemetery Mowing Fund.
