Mr. Leon Lois Barnes, age 85, of Defeated, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Barnes was born April 30, 1930 in Texas. He married Ella Mae Barnes and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2005. Mr. Barnes was also preceded in death by Daughter; Cheryl Wilson, Twin Sister; Leona Lenora, Two Brothers; Harley Barnes and Floyd Barnes. He served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Barnes moved to Defeated in 1985.
Mr. Barnes is survived by Daughter; Tamre Lynn Welsh of Defeated, TN. Four Grandchildren; David Wilson of Lebanon, TN, Brian (Crystal) Williams of Nashville, TN, Tina (Michael) Bush of Hartsville, TN, and Melanie (Tyler) Candler of Difficult, TN. Three Grandchildren; Kendra Williams, Kaylee Williams, and Brayden Candler also survive.
Mr. Barnes’ wishes were to be cremated, and a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
