Mr. Leon Corbert Rader, age 91, of Lebanon, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Mr. Rader was born on September 30, 1933 in Nashville, TN, a son of the late Alton L. Rader, Jr, and Bertie Marie Stuart Rader. Mr. Rader is also preceded in death by Son; Bruce Rader in July of 2015 and by Sister; Beatrice Jones. Mr. Rader married Ruby Frances Simmons on August 31, 1956. His family moved to Gordonsville in 1971. He owned and operated the Gordonsville Cash Market for 18 years where he was known for Slush Puppy Drinks that they sold at the store. Mr. Rader served his country in the United States Army for 2 years and was stationed in Germany. After his 2 years of active service, Mr. Rader enlisted in the reserves for two more years.
Mr. Rader is survived by Wife; Ruby Rader of Lebanon, TN. Children; Beverly (Randy) King of Ashland City, TN, Anita Phillips of Gordonsville, TN, and Charles Rader of Gordonsville, TN. Daughter-in-Law; Julie Rader of South Carthage, TN. Grandchildren; Richard (Ashley Moore) King, Dusty (Amy) Phillips, Becky (Heath) Watkins, Grabriel Rader, and Grace Rader. Four great grandchildren.
Graveside Services and Interment for Mr. Rader are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 1PM at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221.
Family and friends will gather at the cemetery just prior to the 1PM service.
