Mr. John McCall, age 83 of Tanglewood, died Sunday morning, June 1 at The Pavilion in South Carthage. He is survived by: wife, Kay Farris McCall; children, Julie Marie McCall Thompson and husband Scott of Spanish Fort, Alabama, John Justin “J.J.” McCall and wife Crystal Underhill McCall of Tanglewood; 3 grandchildren, Paul Ross Thompson of Mobile, Alabama, Tanner McCall Thompson and wife Jewel of Mobile, Alabama, Ana Gabrielle Thompson of Spanish Fort, Alabama; sister, Ruth Jean Garrett and husband Gary of Nashville; sister-in-law, Rebecca Hackett McCall of South Carthage.
Funeral Services for Mr. McCall will be conducted at the First Baptist Church in Carthage on Thursday afternoon, June 5 at 1:00 PM. Bro. Tim Frank will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are: Tanner Thompson, Jacob Farris, Tom Broyles, James Trainham, Chris McCall, A. J. McCall; honorary pallbearer, Paul Ross Thompson.
Visitation at Sanderson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday at First Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to First Baptist Church Carthage or First Light Community.
