Mr. Joe Rich, age 86 of the Pleasant Shade Community, died Thursday morning, April 14 at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
He is survived by: 4 children, Arnold Rich and wife Debbie of Pleasant Shade, Jerry Rich and wife Becky of Pleasant Shade, Jackie Rich and wife Sherry of Red Boiling Springs, Jocella Halliburton and husband Todd of Pleasant Shade; sister, Melba Joy Pace and husband Andy of Ruston, LA, 3 brothers, David “Bee” Rich and wife Almanette of Pleasant Shade, Eld. Gerald Rich and wife Ronda of Pleasant Shade, James Bell Rich and wife Debbie of Mount Juliet; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rich is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. His service will be conducted at the Pleasant Shade Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Saturday morning, April 16 at 11:00 AM. Eld. Gerald Ragland and Eld. Scott Rigsby will officiate. Interment in the Pleasant Shade Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers are nephews, Taylor Rich, Isaac Rich, Daniel Rich, Paul Rich, Jason Rich, John Rich, Eric Rich, Bobby Brooks, Mark Thompson, Ronnie Brooks, David Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are nieces, Carolyn York, Brenda Weeks, Linda Bates, Angela West, Brenda Patterson, Sandra Janes, Melinda Dickens, Regina Carmack, Sherry Culver, Debbie Debolt, Teresa Bean, Patricia Eads.
Visitation at Sanderson Funeral Home will be on Friday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
The family has requested memorials to: Pleasant Shade Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
